How to burn your candle

• Light your beautifully fragranced candle in a well-ventilated room, away from drafts, or fans which can cause sooting (black marks on the vessel), or rapid, uneven burning. If sooting does happen simply use your candle snuffer to disperse the flame, let the candle and soy wax cool down and then simply wipe the vessel with a damp tissue.
• Burn regular candles for two to four hours at a time (no longer than four hours) until there is a level amount of melted soy wax. Burning for less can cause tunnelling meaning an uneven level of soy wax leaving a build up of soy wax around the glass vessel’s sides.
• Make sure you stop burning your candles when 10mm of soy wax remains at the bottom, keeping an eye on a burning candle when the wax is low. Why not use the leftovers soy wax from the candle to continue to fragrance your home by placing it in wax melt burner. The soy wax is easily scraped from the glass vessel and is really soft and easy to remove.

How to care for wicks

• Keep the soy wax pool clear of wick trimmings and matches, as the debris in the soy wax can act as a secondary wick, encouraging your candle to burn faster plus leaving the soy wax dirty and leaving a burnt smell.
• After extinguishing the flame of your candle with a crazy in love Designs snuffer, centre and straighten the wick or slant before the soy wax hardens (the soy wax doesn’t get too hot).
• Wicks that are too long or slanted can create a high flame, sooting or smoking. Trimming the wick with the Crazy n love Designs trim cutters to a recommended wick of 5mm (when the soy wax has set) is the best way to prevent this from happening.

How to store your candles

• When you’re not using your candle, store in a cool dry place and cover it with the candle lid that is provided with your candle, this will stop any dust settling on the highly fragranced soy wax candle. If you will be using the candle regularly then you could leave the lid off as the soy wax candle will fragrance your space when not lit. Please note that if the candle is not in use for long periods of time and no lid is placed on the candle to protect the highly fragranced soy wax, then dust can affect the quality of the product and may cause issues with the quality of their scent.
• Candles from time to time May have condensation on the surface, this is due to not storing your highly fragranced soy wax candle correctly, or may have been stored away for too long. Simply gently wipe away the condensation from the top of the highly fragranced soy wax with a dry paper towel or cloth before lighting.
• Storing your highly fragranced soy wax candle for too long May affect the scent, so we recommend that you use your candle in a reasonable time to make the most of your highly fragranced soy wax candle.
