WOW….. what a way to start December, Mercedes (LSH auto), the biggest Mercedes garage in Europe, invited us back to showcase our brand for the second year running and what a night it was…….. meeting some very exceptional people.

The ‘Christmas Collection Boxes’ flew off the shelves once again this year but sadly we will be saying ‘goodbye’ to the beautiful boxes The refills will always be available.…. Remember refill, reuse and recycle the three “R’s.” We are already working on the new Christmas Collection along with other exciting products that we will be introducing throughout 2023…. The boutique was extremely busy throughout December with orders from both old and new customers. Christmas has been so sad but special this year, spending time with family and friends with one person really special to me absent from the table.

Let’s reflect on 2022 to say goodbye before entering into a whole new chapter of ‘Crazy In Love Design Ltd Home Fragrance & Candle.’

I would like to give you a small insight into my personal life as well as the brand, after all I am the brand! It’s been a difficult couple of years, the business starting but not really getting the chance to show what we had to offer. January 2022, we thought, we could really get our teeth into the brand and show you what we had to offer, then suddenly our world was turned upside down, my son’s dad sadly lost his battle to “mental illness” which really rocked our World…… I still can’t put into words the grief that we as a family are enduring. Then in February 2022, three weeks later, a second blow when my best friend Jayne died suddenly, my rock…… my everything….. the reason why I started the brand, the reason why “Crazy In Love Designs Ltd” was born!

I’ll be honest I was ready to throw the towel in and give up on the business “the brand”. I took a few months off, grieving for two people who were so important in my life and at the same time trying to provide the support my family needed to cope with their grief!

It was in early May of 2022 when I was introduced to an amazing company call Enterprising You. I was given my own business coach, Claire Braithwait, who has been truly amazing and has helped me through one of the most difficult times of my life. I have had training by some of the best companies out there and met some truly inspirational people through networking events. I have met ‘friends for life’ through networking, they help you through the good as well as the challenging times and are there to celebrate the highs with you too!  It’s really made me look at the business as a whole “the brand” and what I really want from it and most importantly what I can offer my customers, both new and old.

In September, while taking months away from “the brand” I became really connected to the fragrances that we offer and also the concept of how fragrances make our memories. “English Pear & Freesia” and “Flower-bomb” reminded me of Jayne, her two favourite fragrances.

I started to reflect on the people who I have met since opening the small boutique in Stockport and speaking to them about their memories that fragrances hold for them, sometimes sad… sometimes happy….. and it was then it hit me the scent is “So Much more than a fragrance…”

There are so many sciences behind fragrances and what impact “scents” have on the human brain. ‘Did you know that the human brain can distinguish over a million scents?’

And ‘fragrances hold more memories than a photograph?’, a fragrance will keep on making memories unlike a photograph which makes time stand still’.

As I became more connected and focused on the brand, I realised that I wanted to spend all my time creating luxury home fragrances and helping people create memories, so we stopped taking in Interior Design work and sold off all the home accessories, to give our full attention to the brand.

When I say that every single luxury home fragrance & candle product is made with love it really is…..  “so, here’s a BIG Thank You to Jayne, for pushing me into starting to make candles from my humble kitchen table”

I learnt that I couldn’t just be the brand on my own and I have had help from some very exceptional friends who have offered their expertise. I would like to say thank you to my dearly loved husband, Rob, who has been my “ROCK” and supported me through the hardest challenges of my life!

And lastly but not least, Jayne, who has been my beautiful spiritual angel and who has guided me through this journey ….

What else has been happening?

My proudest achievements this year have been the launch of the new website built for the brand and we re-opened the boutique back up to the public, with old and new customers walking through the doors again…… that felt so special to me!

We have started our journey of creating beautiful highly fragranced candles for Companies, offering company gifts and we now offer to wholesale too.

So, what’s next?

We have so much to offer in 2023… A new collection, a beautiful gift to offer our customers, so stay with me for some exciting news in January.

Our brand will also be available to purchase on Amazon and Needi. We will be actively looking for stockist throughout the UK to showcase the collections too… so as you can see 2023 is going to be a very busy and exciting year for “Crazy In Love Designs Ltd Home Fragrance & Candle” your luxury brand.
