Diffuser Care

How to use a diffuser

  • Gently remove the stopper from the glass vessel, you may have to twist rather than pull the lid to avoid any spilling.
  • Carefully place the reeds into the glass vessel. All of our diffusers use rattan reeds which are naturally porous, allowing for the gradual absorption of the highly fragranced liquid moving up the reeds. We highly recommend that you turn the reeds carefully after an hour for first use. Be careful when turning, ensuring no splashes or spilling. Wash hands immediately after with warm soapy water. Why not try our highly fragranced hand & body wash & lotion.
  • To get the most out of your highly fragranced reeds, we advise turning them once a week. This speeds up the saturation rate and gives them a highly fragranced scent diffusion.
  • Did you know that you can control the scent level to suit your preferences? The more reeds you use, the stronger the fragrance will flow. We recommend using all six reeds that we provide to receive the full benefit of the highly fragranced diffuser.
  • Due to the nature of the reeds and how they become saturated with liquid, it is best to always place your diffuser on a protective plate to ensure no liquid damages on surfaces. Also, take special care that the reeds do not touch painted surfaces or other materials such a wallpaper, curtains, polished or synthetic surfaces or fabrics, as this may cause staining.

Where to place a diffuser

  • Larger rooms may require one or two diffusers in the room so you can have the highly fragranced scent freely flowing around the room, depending on the preferred strength. Our diffusers also look perfect with an Elegant Candle.
  • The diffuser on its own is perfect for your small rooms or hallways. We recommend that you use all the reeds supplied for the maximum scent throw. If you would like a subtle fragrance aroma around the room then we recommend that you start with a few of the reeds and gradually add until the desired fragrance level is reached.
  • The temperature of a room is very important as higher temperatures speed up diffusion or a well ventilated room. While the strength of the fragrance will increase, the life of the diffuser will be shortened. Avoid placing diffusers next to radiators to prolong fragrance release.
