How to choose a fragrance?
- Certain fragrance families are naturally stronger than others. This is due to some scent notes having greater dominance. A spicy fragrance will naturally subdue a flowery fragrance, this does not mean one performs less than the other or is lower quality. Choosing the right one, for personal preference but also strength of fragrance release in a room, is important.
- Citrus-based fragrances tend to appear stronger, because the citrus sits in the “top notes” of a fragrance for a fresh and sharp fragrance. But this can linger only for a short time.
- Heart notes, which are typically considered to be floral notes, help to balance the fragrance and complement the base note.
- Woody fragrances are more “base-note” heavy, which means they have less of an initial punch, but will linger in the room much longer.
- But more importantly the fragrance will leave everlasting memories of that party, the place, person, the loved one. It’s like a caption in your life that is instilled in your mind forever. Remember it’s not just a fragrance it’s so much more.
