I’m Rachel, the creator, founder & brains behind the business… well in fact I am the business.
I began my journey back in 2019, thanks to a push from my best friend Jayne, who sadly passed away suddenly, in March this year. She was the one who encouraged me to take that leap and create my own collection of bespoke candles. And there it was, I found a new passion creating a product I loved, and at the same time it helped me escape the pressures of my busy and stressful life, which is what everyone needs…. Right!
We opened our first little boutique back in February 2020, suddenly having to close the doors in March as a result of the pandemic. Fast forward three years and ‘yes’ we’re still here! Offering a wide range of services for christenings, weddings, funerals and businesses alike.
A little bit about my background:
I have not always made Home Fragrances & Candles, and certainly wasn’t born with a candle in my hand. I left school and like most of us I did not know what I really wanted to do so I began my working life as an accounts administrator. Soon after, becoming a mum at 17, I fell into a Payroll career, keeping my head down and working hard I slowly progressed up in the ranks to become a Payroll Project Manager.
I have always had what you call ‘a natural creative flare’ along with a passion for interior design, so followed that passion and went on to complete an interior design course to become a ‘very part time’ interior designer whilst still working full time as a payroll project manager.
When I finished each interior design project, I would often gift my clients with a designer candle or diffuser, to thank them for hiring me to undertake their very personalised projects.
It was at this point, I realised I needed to find the ‘perfect’ glassware. After all, a candle doesn’t only fill your home with a beautiful fragrance, it’s a centre piece in your home. After months of researching, I finally found what I was looking for in the form of the crystallised hand-made glassware known as “The Elegant Collection”.
And there you have it, Crazy In Love Designs was born!
It’s so much more than a fragrance…. We help make memories through fragrance……
